Clubspot Launch Notes — August 28, 2026

Clubspot’s updated invoice editor is one of several new features on the platform this week.

From more flexible membership applications to improved invoice management and lodging workflows, the latest Clubspot updates give club teams more control over important day-to-day operations.

Here’s what’s new from the past week:

Require a Card on File for Open Applications

Clubs can now require applicants to add a payment method on file during an open membership application, even when no application fee is being charged. This gives clubs more flexibility in how they structure the application process while ensuring payment information is securely collected up front when needed.

Updated Vendor Invoice Editor

Clubspot’s updated vendor invoice editor creates a clearer, more consistent workflow for entering and reviewing invoices. Line items are now organized into separate sections for products and services versus shipping, tax, discounts, fees, and other charges, with additional accounting controls available for clubs using AP. The update also improves AI invoice parsing and resolves issues involving product options and quantities.

Request-Based Lodging Day Trips

Clubs can now choose between instant booking and a request-based workflow for lodging day trips. In request mode, members can submit a day trip request along with optional add-ons for staff approval, while requested itinerary items remain separate from availability counts until an administrator confirms them. This gives clubs more control over day trip capacity while still providing members with an easy self-service request process.
