Repeat Banquets Shouldn’t Require Repeat Work

Clubspot’s banquet software allows events teams at clubs to easily clone and then edit recurring events, eliminating hours of unnecessary manual work.

Private club banquet teams handle a steady mix of recurring events, repeat member functions, annual traditions, and similar private parties. Many of those events share the same structure, but in outdated software, staff often have to rebuild the same details again and again. That creates unnecessary admin work, slows down planning, and increases the chance that important information gets missed.

Clubspot’s latest banquet updates are designed to remove that friction. As part of a mid-May product update, Clubspot introduced more powerful banquet cloning and payment notifications, giving clubs faster ways to manage repeat events and stay informed when banquet invoices are paid. These releases are a strong example of how Clubspot keeps moving quickly, shipping practical improvements that solve real operational problems for private clubs.

With the new banquet cloning ability, admins can clone event orders with more control before the new event is created. Clubspot now prompts the team to edit the event name, date, time, and event spaces before cloning, then checks availability for those spaces just like it does when creating a new event order. That means teams can move quickly while still protecting against scheduling conflicts and space availability issues.

The cloned banquet order now carries over more of the information that actually matters to the event team, including line items, custom field responses used in custom BEOs, and itinerary-style event timelines. For clubs that host recurring committee dinners, wedding weekends, golf outings, holiday events, or member receptions, this can save meaningful time while preserving the operational details that make each event run smoothly.

Clubspot also added admin notifications for banquet invoice payments. When a BEO invoice is paid, the right team members can receive a notification with a direct link back to the event order, helping catering, accounting, and management teams stay aligned without chasing updates manually.

Together, banquet cloning and payment notifications make Clubspot’s banquet tools faster, clearer, and more connected. Instead of rebuilding repeat events from scratch or wondering whether an invoice has been paid, club teams can spend more time focusing on members, guests, and execution. It is another step in Clubspot’s mission to give private clubs the most modern, fastest-evolving software platform in the industry.
