Check-In-Only Tee Sheet Access: Simpler Day-of-Play Golf Workflows

By Fritz Baldauf

Clubspot is always introducing new quality-of-life features to our tee sheet software.

Golf operations depend on speed, accuracy, and the right level of access for the right people. On busy mornings, front-line staff often need to check players in, manage day-of-play activity, confirm membership details, and print the tee sheet without needing full administrative control over the golf operation.

Clubspot now supports a new check-in-only tee sheet permission for golf teams. This restricted access level is designed for staff members who help run the tee sheet on the day of play but do not need broader tee sheet management permissions. It gives clubs a more practical way to support front-desk, golf shop, starter, and outside operations workflows while keeping higher-level controls protected.

With check-in-only access, staff can check players in, check players out, view membership information, and print the tee sheet. That means the people managing the live flow of play have the tools they need to keep the day moving, while admins can maintain tighter control over settings, edits, and broader tee sheet functionality.

For private clubs, permission design matters. Not every team member needs access to every setting, but staff still need enough information to do their jobs well. Check-in-only tee sheet access helps clubs reduce unnecessary complexity, limit accidental changes, and create a cleaner workflow for the team members focused on day-of-play execution.

This update reflects Clubspot’s broader approach to golf operations: make the tools flexible enough for real club workflows, while keeping the experience simple for staff. By giving clubs more precise control over tee sheet access, Clubspot helps teams move faster, protect important settings, and deliver a smoother experience from the first tee time of the day to the last.
